We take you on a voyage to West Africa with our Cultural Explorations programs! Participants not only learn culture-specific rhythms, but they are introduced to dances and songs as well as languages and geography. In Africa, music is a community experience, one in which everyone participates in the performance. Just Add Rhythm brings West African music alive in a way that leaves everyone feeling like a rock star!
These programs are aligned with Florida Sunshine State Standards, and can be delivered in single sessions, special events, or residencies. They are especially fun as a part of a culture unit or theme at school, and can be offered to families and communities in Open House or festival formats. We can adapt them for student, family, or adult populations.
