Jacksonville: After-school Enrichment Drumming with Hope Haven

JAR’s first event since we relocated to Jacksonville was a blast!  We provided an after-school drumming program for students at the Alden Road Exceptional Student Center, which is affiliated with local Jacksonville organizations Hope Haven and Team Up.

Activities included:
  • fun with Boomwhackers® and egg shakers
  • rhythms about favorite pizza toppings and favorite cookies
  • an energetic game called Rumble Ball.

Both students and staff had an awesome time, and had fun making up their own rhythms.

Just Add Rhythm now provides interactive programming for all ages and abilities in South and North Florida – whether you’re looking for a unique corporate team-building event, a social skills-building educational program, or a workshop for your community or wellness group, we’ve got you covered!  We still serve South Florida’s tri-county area of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, as well as the First Coast counties of Duval, Baker, Clay, Nassau, and St. John’s.

If you’ve got an event outside of these regions, give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you!

Lantana: Drumming for Wellness at Vi Senior Living Community

Seniors jam with drums during a drum circle at Vi at Lakeside Village.  Smiles and laughter followed when the drumming and rhythm games began.  The focus for this drum circle was exercise, bonding, and personal growth.  After the drum circle, one resident said “She is the whole package. I feel like I got a workout, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

This event was part of a senior “Living Well” health fair featuring nutrition and cooking demonstration, exercise and wellness classes, and of course a drum circle – to nourish the mind and body.

A big thanks to the Vi staff for a making it possible to provide drumming and rhythm activities to the residents!

Get rhythm driven wellness for your community!

Weston: All Ages Drum Circle Library Program

We delivered a free public drum circle at the Weston branch of Broward County Libraries.  Many rhythms were played and many smiles were had!  Everyone had a chance to play different drums/hand instruments and the kids enjoyed being circle leader.

We want to extend a special thank you to the Weston branch of the BCL and the Friends of the Library. Without the Friends of the Library we would not have been able to deliver this free program to the community.

Contact us to bring this and other programs to your local library branch!
